Out of Place

Thijs van der Zanden, a Dutch Axel and GS enthousiast discovered this GS at a scrapyard in Helmond (Netherlands) in 2003. This is kind of remarkable, since the time that you could spot GSs on the scrapyard (in Holland at least) lies years in the past. There are just not any left wo make it out there, since the majority of the cars that have survived untill now are in the hands of a select group enthousiasts. And these people don't just bring their car to the scrapyard, at least not after demantling all vital parts and bodyworks. We almost have to draw the conclusion that this GS was owned by someone wo still drove it as a daily driver.

Also it is remarkable that the scrapyard did put the GS aside for dismantling parts. Since there are not many of their customers wo still come asking for GS parts...

Thijs tells the condition of the car was not very good anymore. A lot of rust and a worn out interiour.
